This thread by @celinegounder is well worth your time There is a lot of nonsense spread about dyes, seed oils, and what a healthy diet looks like For many things, we actually have evidence! The real culprit in ultra processed foods is high amounts of sugar, salt and fat
1/ The FDA just approved a plant-based blue food dye, gardenia genipin blue, & is urging food companies to phase out synthetic Red Dye #3. But are food dyes really the biggest issue in our diets? on @CBSMornings with @vladduthiersCBS
As someone who helped @WHO to draft the IHR, nothing RFK says here is true. The IHR facilitates rapid detection & response. It actually promotes accurate info & protects civil liberties. And it certainly does not affect US sovereignty. These are all falsehoods.
The proposed amendments to the International Health Regulations open the door to the kind of narrative management, propaganda, and censorship that we saw during the COVID pandemic. The United States can cooperate with other nations without jeopardizing our civil liberties,…

Artificial dyes in ice cream is not a public health menace
Today I joined @SecRollins, @DrMakaryFDA, and American dairy farmers to celebrate another MAHA win: 40 companies—representing 90% of the ice cream volume sold in the U.S.— have pledged to eliminate artificial food dyes from their products.

The Fonz asks the question that needs to be asked Why yes we did wipe out Measles like a quarter century ago But it’s back! Because we have people, including our health secretary, who spread falsehoods about vaccines
DID we NOT wipe out the measles a while ago ..??
The HHS Secretary claims to support prevention But then cancels the experts that evaluate the science behind preventive services

A President who did so much for global public health Launched PEPFAR that has saved probably 30 million lives Invested heavily in pandemic preparedness and biosecurity risk mitigation And a lot more The world is better for his leadership
Happy 79th birthday to the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush!

One of the ways America has made the world a better place is in global public health American ingenuity and generosity has saved literally hundreds of millions of lives No other country comes close Yet too much of the left denies it and the right works to undermine it
America hasn’t been perfect. It’s made grave mistakes. But there is no country that has ever done more for improving the world. It breaks my heart how unappreciative Americans across the ideological spectrum are of that. Much of the left rejects we’ve ever been good for the…
