Aruna K. Miller
@arunamiller
MD Lt. Gov. Engineer. Dog person. I am not interested in competing with anyone. I hope we all make it. By authority: Moore for Maryland, Mary Tydings, Treasurer
At this week’s @NLGA, I joined fellow leaders from across the country to share insights and strategies on the pressing issues shaping our states — from workforce and economic growth to health care, infrastructure, and beyond.
Keeping the families who lost loved ones—and the brave first responders in Texas and North Carolina—in my prayers. May you feel the strength of a nation holding you in our hearts during this time of sorrow.
Proud to serve on the @NLGA Executive Committee—bringing together lieutenant governors nationwide to share insights and strengthen our states.
Congratulations to Maryland Lt. Governor Aruna Miller, elected to the 2025-2026 NLGA Executive Committee!
Retired but not from the legacy he built.
Want to say a huge thank you to @arunamiller and @iamwesmoore for sending these birthday wishes for my dad! He was very moved 😊 And he reminded me to tell them he’s retired from the union in case they ask him for any work 😆
This week at the @NLGA Conference, I joined colleagues from across the country to discuss workforce development—what’s working, what’s next, and how we can continue to deliver results for our states.
USVI Lt. Governor Tregenza Roach, Maryland Lt. Governor Aruna Miller, Nebraska Lt. Governor Joe Kelly, and South Carolina Lt. Governor Pamela Evette share their “quick takes” on workforce at the NLGA Annual Meeting.
Ed Rothstein has devoted his career to serving our nation and the people of Maryland, and @govwesmoore and I am honored that he has once again answered the call to serve—this time as the next Secretary of @MdVeterans.
I’ve spoken with @MayorBMScott about the situation at Penn & North Avenues. @GovWesMoore, the MD Office of Overdose Response team, and I stand ready to mobilize all available state resources to support first responders, local leaders, and—most importantly—the people of Baltimore.
Maryland’s home grown @InventWood is turning everyday wood into a material stronger than steel and kinder to the planet.
InventWood and Ion Storage Systems are proof that the investments that we’ve made to support industries of the future aren’t just making Maryland more competitive – they’re also changing the world.
The July Fourth spirit is still going strong! Honored to celebrate with Mayor Bill Martin and the people of @havredegrace—birthplace of @CalRipkenJr, decoy capital of the world, and just one vote shy of becoming our nation’s capital.

Today, we celebrate the spirit of our nation and the boundless possibilities we share. It's a powerful reminder of all we can accomplish when we stand together. Here's to preserving the American dream—and passing it on to future generations.
When elected officials take pride in punishing the vulnerable, that’s not strength—it’s a moral collapse. They didn’t just pass cruelty—they actually celebrated it. It’s disgraceful.
This so-called ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ marks a direct and heartless assault on the American people. Neither Maryland nor any other state across the country has the resources to fill the massive hole that the federal government created today in our social safety net. My full…
Aaliyah Gonzalez was just 18 when her life was cut short in the 2023 Brooklyn Day shooting—but her light lives on. Aaliyah Day honors her spirit and calls us to heal, remember, and confront the violence that stole her future.

Gov. @IAmWesMoore: Republicans’ budget bill is a “nightmare for working families.”
In the first half of this year, Baltimore recorded the fewest homicides in its history—a 62% decrease compared to the same period in 2022. This historic decline reflects the success of our comprehensive, collaborative approach with Baltimore City.
As of this morning, homicides are down 27.7% and nonfatal shootings are down 19.6% compared to this time last year. Our continued progress is the direct result of the comprehensive, evidence-based public safety strategy that we have implemented in partnership with residents.
Thank you for inviting me to the Nova Exhibition—it was heartbreaking and necessary. May we be healers in this wounded world for love is the force that mourns without distinction and heals without condition.
Thank you to MD Lieutenant Governor @arunamiller for taking the time to visit the Nova Exhibition in Washington, DC this morning to bear witness to the atrocities committed at the Nova Music Festival on October 7th and to hear testimony from survivor Noa Beer.
Love Bob Marley and love the both of you @GovWesMoore and @DawnFlytheMoore!
.@dawnflythemoore and I pulled together something special in honor of #BlackMusicMonth. Watch the full video to see us talk about some of our favorite songs on the playlist: youtube.com/watch?v=xQMvH_…
It was so great being in gorgeous Prince George's with @PGCOC last night. @GovWesMoore and I agree—winning the decade begins right here, in the heart of one of Maryland’s fastest-growing tech and aerospace hubs, and the capital of quantum innovation.
The @WSHFreedom is planning a new cricket stadium right here in Frederick. A game-changer that could make Maryland a home to the world’s second-biggest sport. Let’s Bowl them over, Maryland! forbes.com/sites/tristanl…
Maryland is – and always will be – a safe haven for the LGBTQIA+ community.
