When instead of "go touch grass" designers heard "go touch glass"
Can you believe that @twentyonepilots uses Martian Mono by @romanshamin_en 🤯 They’re not only one of the most influential bands of my generation, but also one of my favorite bands of all time!

My apartment already received a new liquid glass update, whoa!!!

When instead of "go touch grass" designers heard "go touch glass"

Martian Mono turns 4 today! To celebrate, we're open-sourcing its sibling: Martian Grotesk. That's right — Martian Grotesk is now free and MIT licensed → fully open source. We're excited to see it in use out in the world! 👉 Font files and source code: github.com/evilmartians/g…
What an awesome thread! I did a similar thing for my client: used Claude for viz + FigJam for stakeholder feedback, it saved me months of work. The only problem: I had to redraw everything back in Figma with client's DS. Excited to see if @figma Make can simplifies this!
I’m impressed. AI cut my design work from weeks to days. Recently, I had the chance to work on a cool dataviz project at Evil Martians as a product designer, and I leaned heavily on AI tools throughout. Here’s a breakdown of the design tasks where AI made a big difference.
Design systems fundamentally fail when forced to work everywhere. Trying to adapt for 100+ different screens results in compromised quality of UI. Great interfaces MUST be tailored to specific contexts, ESPECIALLY in the cars. Still better than most car infotainments tho 😅
CarPlay Ultra (terrible name) looks like garbage. Some of the worst tap targets I've seen in any car ever. Like, what is this list? Just wretched.
Hot take: I kinda actually like it. It would be 100 times better if they applied proper corner smoothing instead of regular circular smoothing 😅
Urmm... Google, you okay buddy?

The best color picker to use it Figma right now! I especially love the new square rendering, hope it helps more designers to switch from the default color picker :)
OkColor v11 is here! 🎉 figma.com/community/plug… New square render for OkLCH, arrow keys and scroll wheel support in the color picker, Figma UI3 update, and more! Let's dive in! 👇
What a dream to be part of an amazing team at @evilmartians! 🛸👽
The Martian crew at #Config2025 was absolutely epic. We listened, learned, connected and we gave a super 🤩talk (I think so!) on #programmablecolor based on our whole team’s work, presenting oklch, Harmonizer and more. What a memory, what a moment! We are the happiest with…
We’re about to go on stage!
A couple of years ago, we at @evilmartians discussed that presenting at @figma Config is the ultimate goal for our design team. Today our amazing product designer @a_objartel and CEO @inazarova are speaking at Figma Config about how we learned to harness color for web
Really interesting that a bunch of designers, people who adore him, are just around the corner. And yet he is at Stripe session and not at Config 🧐
I wonder what Sir Jony Ive would say of #programmablecolor
Also we agreed with folks from Agree.com that they could use more color shades 💛 #programmablecolor
