I don't need British rightists telling me to hate immigrants. I don't need British leftists telling me economic growth is bad. In fact, I'm good on British advice in general, thanks.
Reasons Houston is a shit hole: - most energy companies HQ'd there - largest medical complex in world - two major airports - largest shipping port in the U.S. - melting pot of diversity - unbeatable food scene - beautiful women - lots of sunshine It really sucks
Especially British ideas about energy - energy underpins growth. Let’s not get too excited about degrowth-y British ideas
Degrowth is a British mind virus that America must resist
Pretty sure Paris’ mediocre AQI are just the stunning French ladies smoking pack after pack

The PJM capacity auction got me thinking about how reliable we used to be for each other.
Today Electric Era was awarded 16 sites across 5 corridors from the California NEVI Round 2 solicitation. This is a massive win and nearly books us out through 2026. Time to electrify ⚡ 📈
People love tweeting this pic like they know what this means…some of y’all don’t even know what a capacity market is

An important slide from our presentation @DISTRIBUTECH Midwest in Minneapolis this week
Many PJM states have aggressive renewables targets. But so far instead of building lots of local wind & solar, they're mainly just buying RECs from MISO. Share of PJM states' renewables targets met by non-PJM RECs: 2021: 55% 2022: 50% 2023: 54% 2024: 53%

I am unironically halfway through "Salt" and loving it, so this is absolutely next on my list. It's *very* good. A history of a food is also a history of the world, told through the lens of that food. It's a cool format!
