I’m thrilled to share that I have joined the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) at NTU Singapore as an Assistant Professor! dr.ntu.edu.sg/cris/rp/rp02617
We will soon have an opening in our group as part of a joint PhD program between NTU and Sorbonne University (36 months in SG, 12 months in Paris). Start date can be either in Jan or Aug 2026. Reach out if you're interested or know prospective candidates!
Excited to share that I’ll be joining the University of Tennessee Knoxville as an assistant professor this fall! I’ll be looking for grad students and postdocs—if you’re into theoretical chemistry or materials science, feel free to reach out ([email protected])
Happy to share that our work on Active Learning-Assisted Directed Evolution is now published in @NatureComms! We show that it's an effective and broadly applicable method to accelerate protein engineering with machine learning. Paper: nature.com/articles/s4146…
Excited to share our preprint on Active Learning-Assisted Directed Evolution (ALDE)! We present a practical workflow that leverages uncertainty quantification to efficiently navigate protein fitness landscapes. 🧵(1/6) Paper: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Code: github.com/jsunn-y/ALDE
🚨🚨Our lab is hiring a colleague Postdoc on quantitative imaging biology! Join us if you like imaging, biophysics, STED & cell interfaces on complex epithelial tissue! Details below! :) #pdra #hiring #postdoc #condensates #quantitativebiology #imaging # zurl.co/hHzbo
🔊Job Alert🔊 #postdocposition PIs #share Interested in Postdoc opportunities in Synthetic Main Group & Organometallic Chemistry? We have a funded #postdoc position available in our group to work on multiple exciting projects on Small Molecule Activation at @iitgn Gandhinagar
Check out how Edwin has evolved a protoglobin to synthesize non-canonical amino acids/esters. Congratulations to @alfonz___ and the whole team!

This is finally out in PNAS--a combinatorially complete sequence-function data set for the remarkable #enzyme #TrpB. PhD thesis work of Kadina @kadinaj with a lot of help from her friends. I hope the world can use this for better #machinelearning on enzymes.
A 4-site mutagenesis library of the enzyme TrpB - captures epistatic effects - best variants contain substitution that's rare in natural sequences - new, large-scale testing ground for model-guided enzyme engineering @kadinaj @patrickalmhjell @njp_chem @jsunn_y @francesarnold
