We can program any part or virus inexpensively. Soon, making a single-celled organisms will be affordable, too, making all microbes print-on-demand. The rate-limiter here is the price-performance of genome printing, which will improve super-exponentially.

For the job market, the solution is simple. I don't have time to spearhead the solution but if someone wants an opportunity, hit me up.
