Rep. Andrew Collins

Arkansas State Representative, House Minority Leader, [email protected], (501) 650-2233
Grant did a great job. Under his leadership, Democrats gained in the House for the first time in two decades, and we're in a strong position for the future. I'm grateful for his service, accomplishments, and friendship.
NEWS: After Historic 4-Year Tenure at Arkansas Democratic Party, Chair Grant Tennille to Resign Effective July 15, 2025. Here's his statement: arkdems.org/after-historic…
Happy 4th of July. America is worth fighting for and celebrating, as it has been through our awesome, tumultuous 249-year history.
Yet they were happy to dole out $90m today for private and home schools.
House Republicans in the Arkansas Legislature today torpedoed a contract that would have helped 30% of state employees navigate the complex Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, saying that state employees had just been given a raise. onarwatch.org/house-republic…
Great Hogs season, brutal ending. Still appreciate y’all for everything. See you next year. #mcws
“This Father’s Day, let’s recognize the role dads play in building strong families —and let’s back that recognition with action.” Great piece by @pilkingtonforar and @andrewcollinsAR in @TBArkansas today! talkbusiness.net/2025/06/this-f…
Terrible news out of Minnesota. These families and communities are experiencing an immeasurable loss, and my heart goes out to them. Political violence shakes us all, and it is being rightfully condemned across the political spectrum today. cnn.com/2025/06/14/us/…
The corruption is, in many ways, the defining and worst aspect of the Trump era. And I remain amazed that so many otherwise reasonable Republicans abide it. Most will eventually regret and disavow, but by then it will be too late. nytimes.com/2025/06/08/us/…
Great run by @LittleRockBSB. We are proud of y'all! Now let's see what the Hogs can do from here.
Great news! This would be three years in a row of huge murder rate declines.
This should be a much bigger story. Murder has *plunged* across the country—so much so that the U.S. may see the lowest murder rate *ever recorded.* That this is even possible after the 2020 murder spike is truly amazing.

KASIE HUNT: Over the summer you said, “There’s no vaccine that’s safe and effective”. Do you still believe that? RFK JR: “I never said that.” KASIE HUNT: “Play the clip.” RFK JR (clip): “There’s no vaccine that is safe and effective.” (March 2024)
On this rainy Memorial Day, we honor the sacrifices of those who died for us, and their “whys,” which reflect the humanity of their heroism.
The Little Rock trees still standing after all these storms are made of some rugged stuff. Roots down to the inner core.
Leaving people to suffer after a natural disaster is reprehensible. Disaster relief is one of the core services the federal government should be providing, and instead, they're trying to destroy FEMA. Terrible. nymag.com/intelligencer/…

Pope Francis was an inspiring spiritual leader, awesome in his humility. He has earned his rest and now goes to be with God.
I got several letters about my bill to ensure 12 weeks paid maternity leave for every public school educator. This bill mattered a lot to me, because people told me from first-hand experience how it mattered to them. On the last day of session, it passed. arkansasonline.com/news/2025/apr/…

“Here in Arkansas, our Democratic minority is fighting tooth and nail for a better Arkansas.” -Minority Leader Rep. @andrewcollinsAR That’s a wrap on the 2025 legislative session! We are thankful for you, Arkansas. We’ll keep showing up for you. #arleg #arpx
Any university that capitulates to political extortion to send students to gulags and curb academic freedom is effectively dead anyway. Good for Harvard. We will remember who stood up and who caved in this terrible moment. nytimes.com/2025/04/14/us/…
We are in the final week of the legislative session (!!), and Democrats are working for you until the end. Things will move quickly over the next few days, but you can count on us to keep standing up, speaking out, and pushing back for a better Arkansas. #arleg #arpx
We're still waiting on the status of #SB354 tonight, but in an incredible twist, #SB536, Dan Sullivan's awful library defund bill, FAILED on a roll call vote with a wild vote breakdown. Meeks: Yes Wardlaw: No Berry: No Mayberry: absent Crawford: yes Clowney: No Collins:…
