While you enjoy this exciting work, @anjali_v_p_ is coming up with another fundamental discovery on bacterial adaptabilities. @TIFR_Bio
How do bacteria outsmart stress & resist antibiotics? Dr. Amitesh Anand discusses how 𝘌. 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘪 adapt when key energy pathways are blocked + why this matters for the future of antimicrobial therapies. Read more: bit.ly/combatting-AMR #TIFRScience #AMR #Microbiology #Research

Another successful career transition from the lab! After working with us for two years as a postdoc, Divya will now help @India_Alliance manage their grants! Congratulations!

Energy generation on metabolically restrictive nutrients is challenging, but microbes can do that elegantly by flux tailoring. Read our latest preprint on bioenergetic adaptations and underlying systems-level rewiring: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…. @TIFRScience @TIFR_Bio @ucsd_sbrg
With everything going around NIH and NCBI, it is utmost important to safeguard indigenous dataset at @DBTIndia databank ibdc.dbtindia.gov.in. Data is gold and India is a data goldmine. @rajesh_gokhale
I always find a vibrant research environment more appealing than a serious one... @TIFRScience just concluded it's the 3rd season of TPL. What a tournament it was!!! @jd1278 @Malay_TIFR

I have received the Global Excellence Award for Journalism in the year 2025. This honor brings a greater sense of responsibility. Thank you Dr. Sandip Marwah, Chairperson Asian Academy of Film & Television and Lord Rami Ranger, Member House of Lords.

Some days are just wonderful. Started with discussing some promising data with @jfcryan followed by attending his amazing public lecture. Closed the day with a scrumptious dinner with John, @ViditaVaidya & producer-director (my fav film My Brother... Nikhil) Tina Nagpaul :)

Tomorrow evening, Thursday Feb 20th at 4 pm at Homi Bhabha Auditorium @TIFRScience - what a wonderful opportunity to listen to John Cryan @jfcryan talk about the gut-brain axis, how it goes awry and what you can do to fix it.
I gonna keep trying to showcase that small questions in science are still very much real science. Just because the question and output is small, does not make it any less valid. We've gotten a lil snobby about how we define science today, more focused on size than content.
