Amazon Labor Union IBT
@amazonlabor
A worker-led movement to put power back in the hands of Amazon employees and establish our right to negotiate for a better, safer, and more equitable workplace.
We're fighting to make Amazon recognize our union, & as a result of our win, they’re in federal court arguing unions are unconstitutional. If they win, a century of worker rights could be undone. Public support is vital to keep up the fight—can you help? secure.actblue.com/donate/amazon-…

Amazon workers know the truth: there’s nothing sustainable about fueling AI profits with fossil fuels while workers and the planet burn. Don’t fall for the greenwashing.
Today Amazon released its “Sustainability” report. Predictably, what it leaves out is more important than what it says. Amazon is building a dirty energy empire, spending literally hundreds of billions on data centers that will rely primarily on new fossil fuel infrastructure.
UPDATE Amazon JFK8 Staten Island warehouse flooding w/ raw sewage: Amazon delayed 6pm night shift, telling workers to come at 9pm & now delayed again until 11:45pm. Workers are organizing to cancel shift altogether as they don’t believe management claim they’ve fully disinfected
BREAKING: "Toxic" raw sewage is flooding Amazon's JFK8 Staten Island warehouse (for 3 years Amazon has refused to bargain a contract after workers won historic first union). Workers tell @StatusCoup Amazon expected them to keep working despite sewage. Below was texted to…
Sewage = massive biohazard risk to thousands of workers = SHUT THAT SH** DOWN!!!
Breaking!! When Amazon ignores our health and safety, WE PROTECT OURSELVES! @amazonlabor took action, marched on the boss, and forced Amazon to send everyone home with pay when there was a dangerous sewage leak in the warehouse. Join the movement to change this company so workers…
Raw sewage backed up into work areas at JFK8--not the first time, too. This, combined with the heat, made it unbearable to work in the stench and is absolutely unsafe. Amazon needs to start acting quickly to send workers home in these conditions. @amazonlabor @amazonteamsters
CW bc this is nasty! 🤢 the JFK8 @amazon warehouse flooded w raw sewage today and the company wanted to keep the building open! this is insane and a huge safety hazard! this is why we need a contract with workplace safety provisions! and we needed it yesterday! @amazonlabor
Raw sewage flooded JFK8 today and @amazon wanted workers to keep working like nothing was happening! I really wish I was lying but this company does not give a f*** about safety! It’s disgusting, inhumane, and exactly why WE NEED A UNION CONTRACT!!! @amazonlabor @amazonteamsters
BREAKING!!! More Amazon drivers join the Teamsters! Drivers at DAX5 marched on management as a union today and demanded recognition! Union brothers, sisters and siblings are coming together to show our WORKER POWER and win what we deserve. We will only multiply, and we won't back…
Amazon’s Prime Day profits come at the cost of our health and safety. Same-day delivery shouldn’t result in a lifetime of injury!
For years, Prime Day has exacerbated worker injuries. Instead of cutting back, Amazon doubled the number of Prime Days this month. One warehouse worker told us, “I’m tired of there being an ambulance at my job site almost every night."
We’re not backing down! Amazon workers are organizing shop floor power and heat in the street to win safety, dignity, and a strong first contract. Prime Day’s just the beginning. Join us!💥✊ #HotLaborSummer
.@amazonlabor is turning up the heat on Amazon this Prime Day. Amazon Teamsters rallied outside JFK8 warehouse on Staten Island demanding a union contract to force Amazon to put people over packages. Join our movement! Click here to get in touch with an organizer:…
It's Amazon Prime Day and we know what that means: worker injuries will spike while Amazon rakes in the profits. But we won't stop fighting until every Amazon worker has safety and a voice on the job. Our statement: alignny.org/press/amazonpr…
Amazon Labor Union–IBT Local 1 stands in solidarity with AFSCME DC37 on strike in Philly. The public knows the truth: the city doesn’t run without its workers. Their fight for dignity, respect, and a living wage is our fight too. ✊
DC33 workers in Philly are the lowest paid of the municipal unions, making $46,000 on average. When the city refused to give them the raise they're looking for, they walked out on strike. Now the city stinks, and people are quickly learning just how essential these workers are.
