Playing with AI actors. This is my first try. This is a Midjourney generated image using Runway to do facial capture and voice (of me) to drive the image. Not perfect but a good start. Thoughts?
Look, I get going to meetings with virtual backgrounds. Not everyone has a space for day-to-day discussions. But you should NEVER speak at an online event with a virtual background. It just looks... so bad. It's like serving martinis in a styrofoam cup.
They make loaves of bread that are made of croissant stuff. You’re welcome and I’m sorry all the same time.

Thievery. It's just graft. We don't need the government to steal more bandwidth from things we actually use to then be sold things we don't actually need. Folks are going to get rich(er) over this scam... and it's not us. arstechnica.com/tech-policy/20…
If you think there’s any chance you want to see F1 - The Movie… See it on the biggest screen you can find. The only other screen that will stack up will be the Apple Vision Pro. It’s a big screen movie.

Apple Keynote Hot Take - - LOCAL PODCAST RECORDING ON IPAD - BOOM - New interface is nice. Nothing groundbreaking - Lot's on new features for kids on iPhones - Translation feels a little clunky but it will be useful now and you can see the future (Star Trek) - I will use Notes…
My daughter isn’t taking PE junior and senior year because A) it’s not required (she’s fit) and B) PE tests are too much work (she has AP courses). TESTS? How did we ruin a great way to exercise regularly and blow off some steam during school by making it academic? Idiocy.
Over 30 years ago, I waited tables for a few months between gigs. I had a guest, Rich, would order the same thing 2-3 times a week when bringing clients to the resturant. I slowly customized his experience and made sure everything was perfect every time. He asked for me…
Great thread. Many of us who have actually worked on films keep saying this… if you think a few clips are going to lead to a cohesive film, they aren’t. We are much further away from a real film people want to watch than most people posting about AI think.
As someone who spends a lot of time in the short form world of advertising, I see some incredible filmmakers do incredible things with millions of dollars of budget, ad buy, and relationship resource… slick sleight of hand. Cotton candy storytelling. But I can tell you...
Most breakthroughs don’t come from analysis and data. They come from a contrarian hunch that turns out to be true.
We had a great session about LED wall construction and use on Office Hours last week... youtube.com/watch?v=4o2Ou0…
