Here top 40 professions that will be replaced by AI first and the last, published by Microsoft
Two hours a day on reading and math, the rest dedicated to the skills integral to becoming a tech grifter

“The goal of academic training is not to solve problems as efficiently and quickly as possible, but to develop skills for identifying and dealing with novel problems, which have never been solved before.”

6 months ago a stanford professor affiliated with the institute for human-centered AI submitted a court filing as an "expert" that turned out to be littered with AI-generated nonsense citations and stuff he either didn't read or didn't remember correctly. judge blasted him for it
A partner at a prominent law firm told me “AI is now doing work that used to be done by 1st to 3rd year associates. AI can generate a motion in an hour that might take an associate a week. And the work is better. Someone should tell the folks applying to law school right now.”
OpenAI’s Sam Altman says AI could “accidentally take over the world.” But what if that’s already happening — not through malevolence, but infrastructure, deregulation, and distraction? Let’s talk about the future being built under our feet. 🧵
Luckily for us, the US leads in the AI race, embedding US values in the global AI ecosystem. I mean, what’s a little thievery between friends in pursuit of a patriotic duty?

The US AI Action Plan aims for full-stack dominance, and bundling Nvidia AI chips with American cloud services could become a powerful coercive tool. Such a move would deal a major blow to the EU’s tech sovereignty ambitions. mlex.com/mlex/artificia…
Just read @edzitron's case for "AI bubble". His business arguments (that it's all standing on FANG buying NVDA chips) , and his use case arguments (that there isn't as yet any compellingly profitable application of GenAI) can't be easily dismissed. The action plan is not clear…
Newsletter: This is the Hater's Guide To The AI Bubble: genAI is nothing like Uber or Amazon Web Services, there are no profitable genAI companies, agents do not/cannot exist as sold, there's no AI SaaS story, and everything rides/dies on selling GPUs. wheresyoured.at/the-haters-gui/

Recognising the State of Palestine, at the height of the genocide, is a belated act of coherence that, HOWEVER, if not supported by concrete actions to end apartheid and its associated crimes, risks distracting from the existential threat the Palestinian people face right now.
Now watch as Zionists pressure Australian Jews to “come home” not because of danger, but because Prime Minister Anthony Albanese @AlboMPdared to defy Israeli policy. Zionism never protected Jews, it used them. Source @authenttorahjew @TorahJudaism

In Scientific American, @asmelashteka & I ask: "In the age of unbridled AI hype, with the likes of Elon Musk claiming to build a “maximally truth-seeking AI,” how did we come to have less reliable speech recognition systems than we did before?" 🧵 scientificamerican.com/article/replac…
A lot of modern problems can be traced back to society spending the last half-century thinking tech people were the smartest people on the planet and not acknowledging that they’re scammers and full of BS more often than not

To be clear, the ‘high-quality human data’ being discussed here is *other people’s work*, which Demis’ company has taken and built on without permission.
Demis Hassabis says I'm not worried about running out of high-quality human data We already have enough to build strong systems and simulations that generate useful synthetic data "we're already at that stage now"
