The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, (AFA) AFL-CIO represents nearly 55,000 Flight Attendants at 20 airlines. Proudly #1u.
TSA nationally expects to screen more than 18.5 million people between Tuesday, July 1, through Monday, July 7. Thank you to all of Aviation's First Responders and aviation workers keeping passengers safe every day and over the July 4th travel weekend.

Today marks 36 yrs since United Flight 232 crash-landed in Sioux City after a failure of the tail engine & loss of most flight controls. The crew is credited for saving 185 of the 296 lives aboard in what most believed would have been a complete loss of life w/o heroic efforts.

We have the bill AND the votes in Congress to overturn President Trump’s executive order busting federal workers’ union rights. Call your rep and tell them to sign the discharge petition to bring the Protect America’s Workforce Act to the floor for a vote. act.aflcio.org/call_campaigns…
29 years ago we were all struck by the tragedy of TWA Flight 800, and 230 lives lost. We will forever remember the great loss to our aviation family and work every day for the highest standards in aviation security in their honor.

.@CWAunion President @ClaudeCummings: “It’s better in a union! Work-life balance is better in a union. Job security is better in a union. Pay and benefits are better in a union…We believe in prosperity, justice, and security for all, not just a privileged few.”
On 8/18 PSA Flight Attendants will hold a system-wide Day of Action just ahead of scheduled mediation on 8/20-22. It’s time for all of us to rally around them & pressure their management to deliver the Contract they have earned! RSVP now: actionnetwork.org/event_campaign…
Trump's big, ugly betrayal hurts working families by taking food off the table, abandoning public education and eroding the social programs that support hardworking Americans. Our ad, supported by an incredible coalition representing millions of people, is in today's NYT.…
We remember 153 people who died after Pan Am Flight 759 crashed outside of New Orleans on July 9, 1982, including Flight Attendants James Fijut, Lucille Brown, Vivian Ford, Dennis Donnelly, as well as Capt. Kenneth McCullers, F/O Donald Pierce and Flight Engineer Leo Noone.

TSA announced a change to the shoe screening policy today. Read up & share for full awareness.

ICYMI: We joined our aviation siblings @APFAunity @CWAUnion, and @IAM_Union in filing comments strongly opposing major U.S. airlines’ latest attempt to delay the implementation of the secondary barrier rule. Read our comments: afacwa.org/opposing_delay…
Wishing a safe and happy 4th of July to all of Aviation's First Responders!

“Among the flight attendants’ most serious concerns [aboard Flight 1282] were the 3 infants on the flight who were being held on their parents’ laps, not in a car seat.” It's time to require a seat for every passenger and protect our youngest travelers. cnn.com/2025/06/26/bus…
The House will soon vote on a budget that would devastate Flight Attendants and our families. The budget would cut Medicaid, slash food assistance, & drain programs we rely on. Call your representative now & tell them to vote NO on this disastrous budget: actionnetwork.org/call_campaigns…
