I joined colleagues and advocates to announce the historic $2.5M in the City budget dedicated to advancing #AAPI history in our schools! This achievement is the result of decades of advocacy, and marks a powerful step toward creating more inclusive educational experiences!
President @frankhwu spoke at the event announcing the $2.5m in the city budget that will expand the #AAPI curriculum in NYC public schools. @aaaricuny will receive $625,000 for its role is in supporting the development of new teaching materials.
