I seem to be unable to produce good length blog posts :( my last post ended up being split in two and now the current post is getting so long that I’m considering splitting it in two as well… Anyone have any opinions/tips on this?
While the triple lock is costing billions extra each year, we apparently can’t afford to pay benefits for each child. The cap is estimated to have pushed several hundred thousand children into poverty! How is it fair to punish literal children for the fact they have siblings?
We brought in the two-child benefit limit because people on benefits should make the same choices as everyone else. Reform want more benefits. Starmer won’t say what he believes. Today @Conservatives are forcing a vote in Parliament to find out.
So excited that this will be out in the world tomorrow! And grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
As a volunteer for @TheHumaneLeague UK I was protesting @IcelandFoods last month. Every other major UK supermarket is either already completely cage-free or is on track to be this year, except for Iceland! I can’t believe they’re now abandoning the commitment. Disgraceful.
.@IcelandFoods has become the first major UK supermarket to abandon its 2025 cage-free egg commitment thegrocer.co.uk/news/iceland-a…
