Any living thing has to be a universal constructor. A universal constructor is necessarily self-referentially recursive. If you take the holographic view, that means it has recursion written onto its boundary, and it must have a fractal structure internally.
Great to see some hard evidence that VCs are people whose primary talent is schmoozing old money, not actually understanding the domain they invest in.
This matches with other studies that have found that VCs do not generally seem to have a consistent skill for picking unexpected startup winners.
