Little Tiger Blue (Tarucus balkanicus) in northern Greece. I've been fond of this tiny jewel since I first saw it almost 15 years ago, whilst researching a new butterfly tour for @Greenwings It was like unearthing hidden treasure at the time, a feeling that doesn't fade.
Butterflies of Romania has begun! A few early images sent back by guest Andre. Some good butterflies already but that Alpine Longhorn Beetle (Rosalia alpina) really stands out as a great find already too! A donation from this & all our butterfly tours goes to @europebutterfly

Romania tour complete & most missions accomplished in this wonderful & wildlife rich country. Nice views of Pallas’ Fritillary & about 100 other butterfly species. Plus Brown Bears & Wallcreepers. All in all a very successful tour! We can’t wait to return to Romania next year!
