Saddening & disappointing that @mbrrace mortality data continue to highlight gross inequalities among races & social groups: also an extremely concerning disparity between antenatal & postnatal. When including the recorded deaths up to 1 year, the postnatal period represents 89%.
Many of the findings of the @mbrrace maternal mortality report 2023 emphasise the need for equitable care for pregnant, recently pregnant and breastfeeding women buff.ly/2HR30eT
