James did not say, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him Google." ~ M. Russell Ballard
"Through a lifetime of service in this Church, I have learned that it really doesn’t matter where one serves. What the Lord cares about is how one serves." - Russell M. Nelson
My shelf broke when I learned that we believe in salvation through a potato.

LDS Church Strikes Deal with Fairview, Texas: Baptismal Oxen Now Longhorns to Win Temple Permit (Again)
LDS members struggle to take evangelicals seriously because: 1. By their own standards, we are saved. Their only wiggle room is to use semantics (i.e. different Jesus). 2. God is love, but God also eternally condemns those that believe in Him if their theology isn't 100% right?

Haha I remember my dad pushing back on me and my brother watching Captain Planet in the 90's. I was an unbaptized member at the time; I didn't know any better. Here's my dad's journal entry on an episode that he must have thought was extremely propagandistic.

This mission president is great. He's basically on tour the rest of the year. Getting out and meeting members in remote areas, not just showing up for stake conference. Would love to see more mission presidents follow this pattern.

30 minutes of scripture study a day is roughly 2% of your time. 1440 minutes in a day. 30 / 1440 = 2.08% The avg person spends 2 hours on social media a day. We can all carve out 2% of our time for the Lord. We'll be greatly blessed for immersing ourselves in the words of God.
My 5 year-old going to town on a new can of cool whip at the pot luck today. The can obviously went to waste after he got his mouth on it... Another member took this photo and thought it was funny. It's a mixture of funny/cringe for me. Just glad members nearby didn't overreact.

This Gen Con. talk from Pres Oaks got a lot of backlash. I could understand the criticism if he solely focused on immodesty being the root of the problem. But, he spent LITERALLY ONE SENTENCE on it. 95% of the talk is based on how spiritually destructive consuming pornography is.

Boyd K. Packer, on students and faculty at BYU who were at odds with the mission of the Church in 1990. Seems like a fair criticism. If you're at BYU and not in alignment with the values of the Church, you're taking someone else's spot that would love to be there.

Being validated in the next life, by having the correct theology in this life, sounds like it could be a really challenging trial. I mean, how do you not gloat to the naysayers?
There's no way our faith is going to survive the regurgitated theological thunderbolts from the pastor of this kid. x.com/clydehazemore/…
Calling my pastor tomorrow to specifically ask how I can theologically DESTROY every Mormon on Twitter dot com. Gonna bring my notepad too
Someone near me fumbled their individual piece of sacramental bread and it tumbled to the floor; the deacon turned his back and was long gone. So, the guy scooped up the bread and ate it. 5 second rule totally applies here. The bread has been sanctified under covenant, after all.
Yes. It's a form of theft/dishonesty. Also, that book will be replaced the very next day; you're adding to the total # that will be published annually. Lose-lose for evangelicals. If you believe in your theology, why resort to these bush league tactics? x.com/SamanthaRedeem…
Is it unchristian to take this book from a hotel and dispose of it?
Kind of crazy that we have 3 American Presidents that were all born within 2 months of each other. Happy 4th!

Lol I found this little gem of a pioneer story from my wife's 4th great-grandparents that involved Brigham Young. 😂
