Spent much of the weekend watching the Lord of the Rings extended editions. Just a monumental triumph of filmmaking. Gripping, evocative, and moving from start to finish. I will 100% sound like a crotchety old man, but they just do not make 'em like this anymore. Perfection.

Having just finished Suikoden I+II Remastered, I had a pretty fun time. Never played either before in my life. Suikoden I is a nice, if wildly underwritten, medieval military fantasy tale. Suikoden II is the shounen anime retelling of Final Fantasy Tactics, done extremely well.

I have a hard time getting motivated to do side content in the non-JRPG Yakuza games, because it all feels like a waste of time. Why should I bust my balls to unlock the Super Sloopitydoop Parry Twist when ⏹️⏹️⏹️🔼🔼 does the job better in every scenario?
