Even dunk attempts in the nutrition/metabolism space are self-defeating these days. I do not know if this arrogance/ignorance combination is unique to the US, but if it isn’t, I do not know how we pull out of all of it.
Calories are a measurement of the amount of energy produced when burned... by literal fire. It has nothing to do with human metabolism nor determinant whether a food is healthy or not. Will consuming too many calories still lead to obesity? Duh. Measuring calories and measuring…
In reading the comments, a lot of people think things are still various degrees of conspiratorial are proven true. Interesting window in modern psychology.
What are the best examples of conspiracy theories that were definitively—or, even mostly—proved true in the last few years, decades?
Notably, there are several MTHFR “mutations” (illustrating he likely doesn’t even know what he’s talking about), but even if we give him the benefit of the doubt, there is no meaningful rigorous evidence that folate:folic acid is “toxic.” Go ahead. Ask him to produce it.
If you have the MTHFR gene mutation, folic acid is toxic to your body. You need methylated folate not synthetic folic acid. Check your vitamins. Check your food.
Peanut butter paste is literally used to refeed the most malnourished people in the world. It’s a tough sell in the west because it’s calorie dense as hell and tastes AWESOME. this account is beyond clownish.
Why peanut butter is the worst of the "health foods". - Gut-wrecking lectins and saponins - Phytates and tannins block mineral absorption - Oxalates poison the mitochondria - Salicylates cause allergy-like reactions - Alfatoxins damage DNA - High Omega 6 increases fat storage…
The low-end approximation of lives saved by the COVID vaccines was millions in the US aline (setting aside the additional morbidity). Quite odd to seem millions of additional lives saved as a bad idea, but I’m sure he’ll elaborate on a podcast somewhere.
BREAKING: New study finds that aggressive COVID vaccine mandates likely were a bad idea, as data shows vaccinations saved fewer lives than expected, per Daily Mail.
You drove out Kevin hall when the data didn’t support your pre-packaged conclusions. You have no allegiance to advancing the science. You are a professional grifter that rose to the highest offense. And now we’re all paying for it.
Ultra-processed foods are driving our chronic disease epidemic. We must act boldly to eliminate the root causes of chronic illness and improve the health of our food supply. Defining ultra-processed foods with a clear, uniform standard will empower us even more to Make America…
People see through this nonsense, right? Right?

Statins— bullshit. Modern statins increase A1c by 0.1-0.3%. Glucocorticoids— only if used chronically, which is rare and only for severe inflammatory disease in modern medicine.
Statins increase the risk of type 2 diabetes by 50% in middle-aged and older women It's one of many commonly prescribed medications that can silently drive insulin resistance and weight gain Corticosteroids (used for inflammation) trigger rapid weight gain by increasing insulin…
There is a virtually zero percent chance Gary Brecka could provide and empirical definition of “wrecking your microbiome”
Pop quiz: Which of these wrecks your gut microbiome the most? A. Antibiotics B. Seed oils C. Artificial sweeteners D. Processed foods E. Stress F. All of the above Answer: You already know.
There is no way in hell any rational person saw any part of that episode and garnered this takeaway.
NEW: South Park trolls NPR and 60 Minutes following Trump slashing funding to NPR and his lawsuit against CBS. “The president of the United States canceled NPR… the funniest show ever where all the lesbians and Jews complain about stuff.” “The president had it taken off the…
Any objective auditing of the messaging out of HHS would reveal minimal relevant preaching on any of these fronts.
.@DKThomp says the best thing we can do for health is improve the demand side (inspire Americans to eat healthier food). If only we had an HHS Secretary who inspired Americans every day to eat whole food… If only we had an FDA Commissioner who speaks daily about prioritizing…

The least interesting character on All In with the most impact on next gen tech direction cites Chris Rufo as an unimpeachable source on a both harmless and nebulous topic with massively weaponized implications. What could go wrong 🤷♂️
When they asked me how to define “woke,” I said there’s only one person to call: Chris Rufo. And now it’s law: the federal government will not be buying WokeAI.
