The 19th century Mezairaa Fort, situated on the northern edge of the Empty Quarter in Abu Dhabi. Standing there made me feel like the great British explorer Wilfred Thesiger, who traversed this region on camel and foot in the 1940s. Featured on the @natgeo Instagram today.

The Great Wall, Simatai, Beijing I’m pleased to announce my latest book: Encountering the Great Wall. Launched recently in China. I often jumped over fences and climbed to the wall's top for sunrise before the tourist gates open. We pay our admission fees on the way out.

In August 2017, a Ms 7.0 Earthquake occurred in close vicinity to Jiuzhaigou, China, triggering almost 2000 landslides. Many waterfalls in the World Heritage Site of Jiuzhaigou National Park were completely destroyed. A picture before the chaos. True rarity.
Shuzheng Waterfalls, Jiuzhaigou Valley, China Sadly, these waterfalls were dramatically altered after the 2017 earthquake Token #13 in my Four Seasons of Jiuzhaigou collection The only token currently listed on @opensea for 1.1Ξ👀 One of the most beautiful parks in China!

Layers of larch and birch compose the landscape but like all things Japanese, done in an artistically pleasing way. Hokkaido, Japan’s most northerly island, is a landscape photographers paradise.
