Ever wondered why nucleoli often have such complex shapes—despite behaving like liquids? If liquids tend to form spheres, why don’t nucleoli? What shapes them? We explore this in our latest preprint @embl. Great work led by Daja Schichler & @YH_YukiBio! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
日本政府が本当にばら撒くべき人たちは、研究者たちである。良い研究に関する議論は必要やけど、言葉選ばずに言うと、とにかくばら撒け。
Interested in rapid imaging-based screening or sorting of rare cell populations? A new era of cell sorting has begun! Check out our latest review in @TrendCellBio on novel flow cytometers with imaging capabilities. Congrats, @terrabyte21! cell.com/trends/cell-bi…
Online Now: A liquid-like coat mediates chromosome clustering during mitotic exit dlvr.it/TC0P1H
Our latest paper is out today @MolecularCell! Led by a @AHA_Alberto and with important contributions from @SaricLab & @EllenbergLab! We show how chromosomes shift from being repulsive to becoming attractive during mitosis. Read all about it here: cell.com/molecular-cell…
Our new preprint describing how Ki-67 switches from a chromosome surfactant to a chromosome glue is online! Fantastic work lead by @AHA_Alberto @embl. Many thanks to our great collaborators from @SaricLab and @EllenbergLab. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
I am extremely happy to share my @biorxivpreprint of my PhD work @EMBL! 🔬👨🏽🎓 A liquid-like coat mediates chromosome clustering during mitotic exit biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Exciting new work on genetically encoded multimeric tags for subcellular protein localization in cryo-EM from the Cuylen-Haering & Mahamid labs. nature.com/articles/s4159…
Great imaging Post Doc available!
We very much welcome a postdoc who is interested in single-nucleosome imaging/analysis to reveal how chromatin behaves in living human cells! bit.ly/3m6GG8y bit.ly/390MHwZ NIG offers Postdoctoral Fellowship: bit.ly/3ZZcSIw
Excited to share our new paper @ScienceAdvances: bit.ly/3m6GG8y Dual-color imaging of two neighbor nucleosomes reveals that nucleosomes in euchromatin form condensed domains with ~150 nm diameter. Nucleosomes locally fluctuate in the condensed domain like a liquid. 1/
