Netanyahu is so blatantly lying that this is phenomenal to observe. The enemies of the US must be watching with awe and glee as it sinks even lower to desperately save its little colony. Congress may as well be dressed in full clown suits, honking red noses instead of clapping.

I genuinely thought Netanyahu would sense the climate and temper his usual hate speech, delivering platitudes about comity instead. He didn't. It was a violent hate rally, and the bipartisan reaction was euphoric. Gruesome.

Twenty-five minutes into the speech of this genocidal monster, the U.S. Congress had given him thirty standing ovations. Thirty. I stopped counting the ovations at that point. There’s only so much depravity a person can stand.

It is not US hypocrisy; in fact, it is US consistency. The idea that this is alien and uniquely grotesque is ahistorical. The halls of Congress are where the slaughterhouses around the world, from Iraq to Vietnam to Gaza, are funded and facilitated.
