Agree. Stabilising house/rent prices is crucial. For that we need much more supply. But the demand side is almost never talked about. We’re aiming to build 300,000 homes per year (very challenging), but net migration is still running at 400,000. Do you see the problem here?

Every illegal immigrant to the UK must be detained securely until such time as they can be removed or they ask to go back to whence they came. Ideally, the detention facility would be on a British Overseas Territory e.g. Ascension, to remove all possible motives for coming here.
