Fun Fact that will make Seattle Storm fans happy to hear. Rookie Dominique Malonga played a team-high 25 minutes in their blowout win against the Connecticut Sun. She finished with 12 points on 50% FG shooting and six rebounds. It was her 3rd strong game in a row. #WNBA
Nneka Ogwumike was DOMINANT in the @seattlestorm's win over the Sun 💥 26 PTS | 3 REB | 3 AST | 4 3PM | 11-13 FG | +17 #WelcometotheW
This has got to be one of the worst offensive quarters I’ve ever seen by a team. The Dallas Wings continue to settle for bad three-pointers and the New York Liberty trailed by 30 points and have cut the deficit to single digits. #WNBA
FINAL: The Seattle Storm defeat the Connecticut Sun 101-85. They led by 32 points in the 2nd half. Skylar Diggins had a triple-double 11pts, 12 rebs, 11 asts. Nneka Ogwumike led with 26 points On 11-13 FG. Gabby Williams 16 pts. Dominique Malonga with 12 pts & 6 rebs. #WNBA
TRIPLE-DOUBLE SKY ✨ With 11 PTS, 11 REB, & 11 AST through 3Q, Skylar Diggins records the first regular season triple-double of her career! She joins Temeka Johnson (2014) as the only players in @seattlestorm history to record a triple-double and is the fourth player this…
Skylar Diggins has a Triple-Double in this game. She is just the 2nd player in Storm franchise history, alongside Temeka Johnson. Diggins has 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. The bench went crazy once she got it. Seattle leads Connecticut 87-58 after three quarters. #WNBA
HALFTIME: The Seattle Storm lead 57-46 over the Connecticut Sun. Nneka Ogwumike leads the way with 15 points. Gabby Williams added 14 points. Bria Hartley and Tina Charles with 11 points each for Connecticut. #WNBA
ROSTER UPDATE: The Chicago Sky has signed guard Sevgi Uzun. Welcome to Skytown, Sevgi! 🩵
Breaking: LA Sparks star forward Cameron Brink told me she is planning to play against the Las Vegas Aces tommorow night.

Nyara Sabally is expected to be sidelined for the next 2-3 weeks out of an abundance of caution, The Post has learned. Sabally has missed the last 3 games for rest after she was dealing with discomfort in her knee. She’s doing better but team is prioritizing her long-term health
In Part 2, I wrote more about the impact Brittney Sykes & Sonia Citron had on the game + additional thoughts on Dominique Malonga. I wrote why this was a “good” loss for Seattle. Breanna Stewart had imaging done on her right leg which showed she avoided significant injury after exiting last night’s game, sources told The Post. She’ll be with the Liberty on this four-game road trip, but the team plans to give her time to fully recover.
Watching this game tonight, I feel it was good evidence as to why the Storm took Dom Malonga over Kiki Iriafen. And that's not even a knock on Kiki. Iriafen finished with 7 pts & 11 rebs in 27 minutes. Malonga 8 pts & 9 rebs, plus 2 blocks, 2 steals in 14 minutes. Massive upside!
The Washington Mystics' defense shut down the Seattle Storm's offense for the second time in as many meetings. Brittney Sykes and rookie Sonia Citron caused all types of problems for Gabby Williams and Skylar Diggins. The full #WNBA game recap is below! stormchaserswnba.substack.com/p/mystics-defe…

FINAL: The Washington Mystics win 69-58. Nneka Ogwumike led with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Erica Wheeler 12 pts and 6 assists. Dom Malonga 8 pts & 9 rebs. Shakira Austin 14 pts & 11 rebs. Sug Sutton 13 pts. Sykes and Citron 11 pts. #WNBA
Seattle's starters just haven't had a good game. The bench cut the lead down to four, but then once the starters came back, they haven't been able to operate. With that said, the bench needed subs. That's not on Coaching. That's on the Storm's starters. #WNBA
RICKEA JACKSON FOR THE WIN!!! @iamthathooper x @WNBA
HALFTIME: The Washington Mystics lead 40-35. Seattle led for most of the half, but gave up a 17-2 run that allowed the Mystics to take a 7-point lead. Nneka Ogwumike leads Seattle with 18 points. Ezi Magbegor with 8 points and 3 blocks. Sonia Citron with 9 pts & 5 rebs. #WNBA
Unclear from this video, but Breanna Stewart left the game after coming up limp running back on defense. Stewie was ruled out for the rest of the game. #WNBA
