A WFP food basket provides food or cash to families in need due to conflict or disaster. Includes: ✅ Cereals ✅ Pulses ✅ Vegetable oil ✅ Iodized salt WFP tailors baskets to local needs, sometimes offering cash or vouchers for direct shopping.

Conflict remains the top driver of acute food insecurity. Around 140 million people in 20 countries are affected by conflict. 🚨 Food insecurity worsens when fighting drives large numbers of people from their homes, and when it restricts access to life-saving assistance.

#Syria: Over 100,000 displaced by violence in #Sweida. Together with @SYRedCrescent, WFP is responding with ready-to-eat food & wheat flour for affected families in #Sweida & #Daraa. The first convoy of 40+ trucks arrived in Sweida, including WFP aid. More convoys are on the way.
