The 1866 naval battle of Lissa was a glorious triumph of Austrian Empire over Italy, despite having a vastly inferior fleet of mostly wooden ships facing Italian ironclads! It is often described simply as "when iron men in wooden ships beat wooden men in iron ships!"
Interested in what Central and South American nations were doing in the 19th century. I feel like there needs more fantasy projects based off that.
