A semi carrying food products jackknifed this afternoon on I-840 near I-65. Saddle tank rupture dumped 150 gallons of diesel on the shoulder. Response from @FranklinFire, @WCSO, @THPNashville, @WCTNEMA, @Williamson_Fire & Box 94 for support in the heat. No injuries reported.



Our Public Safety IT team was part of the @TennesseeEMA ITSL (IT Section Unit Leader) class, training to serve on incident management teams designing/implementing networks during planned & unplanned events. County IT Dir. Sean Cothron & EMA Comms Tech Butch Coulter helped teach.

Today we assisted Arrington Fire & Rescue, @FranklinFire and @THPNashville with a vehicle crash and potential chemical spill from a van carrying pool chemicals on Wilson Pike near Clovercroft. Responders found no serious injuries and no chlorine spill.


Lithium-ion batteries, found in laptops, phones, e-bikes, power tools & toys, pose a fire hazard when improperly discarded. DON'T put them in the trash! When damaged or exposed to heat and pressure, these batteries can explode or release toxic gas. Find recycling options online.
EM Officer Kate Brock avoids attention, but we honor her 22 years of service. A K-9 search & rescue specialist, Kate has worked missing persons cases with state & local law enforcement for lost children, those with dementia, even drownings & murder cases. We appreciate you, Kate!
