a nerd in many ways but most notably when it comes to storms and radio frequency. come and join me on the airwaves - helping out on the weekends at @abc27news
Severe weather seems to find me while camping. The only storm in all of NJ dumped 4 inches of rain from 0515-0600 Sunday morning between Allaire and Sea Girt. I evacuated my tent at 5am. HRRR nailed this at 11pm last night so I was expecting it. @WxFront @NWS_MountHolly

Very efficient. Big drops and lots of them. Interestingly only one faint rumble of thunder.
And so it begins! Showers/downpours already popping up this morning and will continue to do so throughout the day. Flash flooding is a real concern today from these efficient rain-producing, water-loaded storms. Be alert. We will keep you posted. #27Weather #PAwx
Yesterday's @DroughtCenter Drought Monitor was a clean slate for Pennsylvania - there were no D0 Abnormally Dry areas for the first time in 420 days! Check out how drought conditions have evolved since May 30th, 2024! #PAwx
I’ll take heat for this but I stand by the fact that I feel less comfortable on a sunny 80° day with low (50-65°) dewpoints than I do on a 90+ and “disgustingly” humid day. My skin felt like it was burning today even though it was barely in the 80s. Sorry @ajukloWPXI

Let summer summer. This can wait till October.
👋Goodbye humidity, hello campfires 🔥 📉A cold front will bring a refreshing airmass to the Northeast US tonight as dewpoints fall into the 40s and 50s. Low temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday morning will be in the 50s and afternoons will feature abundant sunshine. ☀️
Since May 9, 2025, Harrisburg, PA (KMDT) has had 4 record daily rainfall maximum records (May 9, May 30, June 30, and July 14) and tied 2 daily high temperature records (June 23 and June 24)! This is anomalous for sure without any true tropical system to help trigger the rain.
Wow haven’t seen a dewpoint this low in a while @Eric_Fink @DopplerDan @jchastainwx

I can’t believe it took 3 planes to get this storm started. Hope it’s a good one

sorry @BrettThackABC27 I like this weather because I can step outside and not notice the coldness or dryness of the air. I don't seem to notice the humidity. I'd much rather cut the grass on a day like yesterday/today than a dry and windy (grass blowing everywhere) day.
Old habits die hard? I believe so. I’ve used one radar app since 2011, almost daily, but in 2025 I find myself solely using @WxFront. I never would have believed it if you told me this a few months ago. If you aren’t using this app, you’re seriously missing out.
I put these up anywhere I get the chance. Manheim, PA with almost 6 inches last night prompting a flash flood emergency. Unfortunately the same thing can happen today. @BrettThackABC27
Today @NWS_MountHolly issued a PDS tornado warning for a “large and extremely dangerous” tornado near Philly. I’ve been searching far and wide for evidence of this tornado but haven’t found any yet. If you come across it, please reply here:
