Hunger is not a food problem, it is an income problem- it’s not bad budgeting - people simply do not have enough to cover their essentials and this is unconscionable! ‘No respite for consumer' as food prices remain 'stubbornly high in NI’. bbc.com/news/articles/…

The UK is among the worst nations in Europe for child poverty. In the UK, 11% of 15-year-olds reported they had skipped a meal in 2022 because there wasn't enough money to buy food. In the Netherlands and Finland, this number was 3%.

Parents shouldn't have to skip meals to feed their children. Families shouldn't have to go without a warm home. Parents shouldn't have to make impossible decisions between buying nappies or food. In fact, no one should be facing hunger and hardship. Period.
