Bottom trawling is a dirty fishery supported by dirty management.
Why would an industrial trawl PR group block an account?

NOAA fisheries is nothing more than a misinformation platform. They claim to celebrate habitat while at the same time engage in industrial scale habitat destruction.

NOAA fisheries hates Alaska. Imposing massive costs to AK communities in order to maximize profits for out of state corporations.

It is insane what NOAA allows trawl corporations to get away with.

**Misinformation***Pollock trawler are known to drag the seafloor, and they operate in the protected King Crab Savings Area. Pollock trawling has significant salmon bycatch.
NOAA received too many public comments critical of the pro trawler management. In response the started censoring the public.

Same situation in Alaska. Private equity fund trawler corporations are creating non profits to defend there destructive practices.
David Attenborough’s Ocean film has sparked backlash from parts of the fishing industry — led by the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation. Why? Because it shows the environmental reality of bottom-trawling. Read our response here: openseas.org.uk/news/david-att…
Trawlers grinding the seafloor in King Crab Savings Area.

These bozos in Washington DC need to focus on an issue that is actually important to Alaska - ending trawling by out of state foreign owned companies. @lisamurkowski @NickforAlaska @SenDanSullivan

Small boat fisheries do not suit NOAA so they are using trawlers to destroy them. - grumpy no nonsense people - small uncomfortable platforms that can’t host NOAA scientists On the other hand factory trawler corps have government liaisons and large comfortable boats.

Bottom trawling is destroying Alaska’s fisheries. NOAA wants the destruction to accelerate to a conclusion with zero viable traditional fisheries.
🚨 Bottom-trawl fishing is decimating our ocean — and marine life is paying the price. Bottom trawlers are large, fuel-intensive vessels that drag heavy metal gear and nets across the seafloor, effectively bulldozing marine habitats. Shockingly, 90% of the UK’s marine protected…
NOAA will never interrupt trawler profits.

King Salmon sport fishing restricted but @NOAAFisheries still allows over 70,000 king salmon as trawler bycatch was.
Sport fishing for wild king salmon in Southeast Alaska is now restricted to Alaskans for the rest of the summer, after state managers closed the sector due to harvest projections. akpub.io/4nKKVS2
We need to protect our precious natural resources and the American fishing industry before its too late.
Absolutely disgusting. This waste and abuse of Alaska's resources must STOP!!!
NOAA administered another year of insane trawler bycatch numbers in 2024.
Trawling destroys marine ecosystems. @AKPFA
