Great visit with the Senior Friends of NJ talking about the need to build more senior housing and affordable units along with increasing services and resources for our seniors

Great crowd tonight at our first Affordable Housing Town Hall, with well over 100 residents here to listen to our plans for a more affordable city and to share their experiences and concerns. Thank you to everyone who came out!
Today’s ribbon cutting at the newly renovated Pavonia Marion Park - tremendous work by Friends of Pavonia Marion Park for their advocacy. Great asset for the children and families of the Marion section

Today we honor the strength, resilience, and liberation of Black Americans. Juneteenth is not just history, it’s a call to remember, to celebrate, and to keep moving forward.
Eid Mubarak! A beautiful morning at Lincoln Park today. Wishing a blessed Eid to all those celebrating. I’m proud of how our City comes together as one community and the only way to combat hate, racism, and bigotry is to continue to join together as one City

.@BillOdeaJC and @TomZuppaJC urge #HudsonCounty not to further delay Courthouse Park hudsoncountyview.com/odea-and-zuppa…
Katie Brennan & I have worked together on mandating affordable units for new development in JSQ. Yesterday, we visited Hilltop residents to discuss their years of concerns w/o improvement. Looking forward to delivering that change while I’m on the Council & Katie is in Trenton

Tremendous day on Sunday supporting Bike JC and the Ward Tour…The TZCA dedicated itself each of the last several years to advocating for families & children; no better way to do that than by supporting this event and committing to creating safer streets for all @TomZuppaCivic

Lots of fun welcoming Legends Soccer to Martucci Field. A great program for our community supported by dedicated volunteers. When on the Council, I’ll support investing in an affordable & robust City recreation program to help keep our kids active/ healthy & fields safe/clean

Kennedy donating new plants for the Waldo Community Garden & supporting volunteers who take care of our limited green space in Journal Square. From the Hilltop to the Heights and Marion to JSQ we’re bringing the positive change we need!

I was proud to stand with the men and women of organized labor at Wednesday’s Council meeting in support of a project at 701 Newark Ave. The project guarantees 25% affordable housing (90 units) with rents ranging from $975 for a studio to $1386 for a 2BR & 100% union labor
Celebrating Spring amid yesterday’s cold weather with neighborhood families and friends on Bergen Square which has revitalized the space as a place for community…one adorable participant showed off her balloon animal while I showed pics of Kennedy 🐾

Some Easter fun out with the community with Marion Gardens families, supporting @abcinckidz and joining dear friends in the Coptic community

Sikh Heritage Month celebration at City Hall for a wonderful community that embodies service above self and embraces the fact that we’re all one community. I’ve experienced first hand the dedication to service and proud to always be there to play a small part.

Wishing everyone a blessed Eid! Going on close to 8 years of friendship with the leaders and community of Al-Tawheed and spent this morning with @BillOdeaJC sharing in the celebration & the unity that makes our Jersey City community special

A beautiful day to kick off the start of baseball season! Community work is the foundation of everything we do and once again proud to sponsor the great work Washington Park Little League does for kids and families
