In Mirbat on the this day in 1972 a small SAS team fought alongside the Sultan of Oman‘s forces to defeat a numerically superior insurgent attack. One paid with his life. One died of his wounds. Their team leader died seven years later in a training accident: ‘Beyond the last…

40 Acres movie - Danielle Deadwyler, Michael Greyeyes - really interesting take on the genre. Might be ‘war adjacent’ @FightingOnFilm youtu.be/ajH1DuwITZ8?si… via @YouTube
Nice to see William Fraser, OC A Sqn, 1 SAS finally getting the recognition he deserved.

Red berets. Not popular with 1 SAS:
The SAS in RED BERETS?! The brilliant @TomDCPetch explains the real history behind the scenes in SAS: Rogue Heroes Series 2 when the #SAS are forced to accept the famous airborne beret. This and much more in our episode with Tom! #Podcast #WW2 Link in the post below 👇
Stanley McChrystal on @FreedomPactPod - SAS; 'made us better' - 'unconventional thinkers', had ‘candor up the chain of command', 'making things happen that were extraordinary' and had an 'unwillingness to back off' but had to 'wrestle' with lack of political support. Says it all.

An interesting debate on @FightingOnFilm podcast -
We talked to @TomDCPetch about his thoughts on the portrayal of Paddy Mayne in SAS Rogue Heroes on a recent ep, certainly the elephant in the room question! Listen now wherever you get your pods 🎬🎙️
This is extraordinary given the SAS is being thrown under a bus by the current regime. We should expect some degree of impartiality from our lawyers.
A future regime must properly investigate the likes of Hermer. Many lawyers work with our enemies to destroy the country and should be disbarred and/or jailed. See my blog for the lawyers in London who work with *active terrorists on the run from JSOC* in Afghan/PAK and get…
My friend, former CO 22 SAS Richard Williams challenges the BBC's Panorama portrayal of the SAS 'depicted as a rogue force, not a team of highly professional soldiers.' The BBC has confused its facts, with its fictional rogue heroes. In @spectator Richard writes he breaking…

Really enjoyed this one with the @FightingOnFilm crew as we unpack Rogue Heroes.

WHO DARES WINS. Don’t be afraid, be competent (and constantly learn). On this Memorial Day weekend, I want to share a story of a brotherhood that exists, is important to me, and is under attack because of a “progressive” regime along with their forces in the far left media.…
That’s punchy.

My final two book commendations to @HistoryPegg on his @AoHpod when I spoke with him recently are: SPEED, AGGRESSION, SURPRISE by @TomDCPetch & CHURCHILL & SPAIN by Richard Wigg. Both great #WW2HISTORY reads! #ContinuingtheFight #EspañolesContraElNazismo
It was a huge pleasure to chat with @HistoryPegg on his @AoHpod, where we cover so many topics! A bit of a delay at my end due to bad WiFi, so apologies if it sounds like I am interrupting Peggy! ¡Gracias a todos! #ContinuingtheFight
Reccomend the film ‘Warfare’ from @A24 . It’s not an easy watch. But I would say it’s one of the most realistic depictions of warfare I’ve ever seen. And you should see it in the cinema to do the sound design justice.
Everything is based on memory. Directed by Iraq War veteran Ray Mendoza and Civil War director Alex Garland, this is WARFARE. In theaters 2025.
One for you @DanielPriestly_ think many agree on the problem- not the solution open.spotify.com/episode/4cZ1yt…
Listened to @StevenBartlett @DanielPriestly_ and @garyeconomiics debate, and got a bit scared. We all want the same thing, @DanielPriestly_ made sense, this is the 1963 cover of @garyeconomiics philosophy.
