Really enjoyed seeing William Belleau in Eddington. The last time I saw him in a movie was as Henry Roan in Killers of the Flower Moon, and these two characters couldn't be farther apart. Hell of a range.

There are so many New Mexico deep cuts in EDDINGTON, but my fave is the creepy statue that scares Joaquin Phoenix in the final act. Anyone from Ari Aster’s hometown of Santa Fe will instantly recognize it as Zozobra, the 50-ft effigy we burn in a pagan-ish ceremony every year…

Benny Safdie’s THE SMASHING MACHINE will have its world premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival this Fall.
