Cheers🥂 to seeing life a little better. With love, Your Aesthete.

You see this book? Run, don’t walk, as in runnnnnnnnnn. My first Nigerian thriller, and I loved every single part of it. A solid 10/10 recommendation 💙💛 Again Femi Kayode>>>>>>>>>>> PC: Twitter.

I judge a book by its cover anytime, anyday. The cover is pretty? Sign me upppp ASAP! The cover isn't pretty? Then it definitely has to come highly recommended.
I have never seen so many atrocities at once Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh pizza?
Walk with me.
So far the books I have being reading that detail female friendship groups somehow always depict a trio and not a quartet, such as: -These impossible things -Imperfect arrangements -Wahala These are the only 3 books that come to mind, again "3" 😂, any other books?
Sometimes one of the most interesting thing in a character's relationship is seeing all the obvious red flags they are ignoring, because how now?😂
Ayotola Tehingbola’s debut is a contemporary collection of short stories, set between Nigeria and the US, which explores the constant straddling of two worlds: the need to make sense of home, and the weight of being lost and out of place in a new world.
"Me: What if they hate it? Also me: Someone else will like it, so when you do it, do it for the one person that will like it." Good night from here 🖤
LMAO Tejumalejo is a crazy name for a fish 😂😂😂
I made rice sauce with these beautiful Tejumalejo to surprise my NEPO babe during undergrad. She nearly vomited her intestines. She said I made stew with worms Emi LAPO wey I get like 3 congos of Tejumalejo in my food sack! 😂😂😂
The apple shaped ones>>>>>>>>>>>
Who remembers this chewing gum??
I went to Ghana this week for Nana Ekua. Kokui and Boris’s relationship is unexpected, a little tragic, but good. Mawuli Naga? Think Baba Segi but rich, extremely fertile, and a professional cheat. It's a book about identity and love in varying forms. A 10/10 recommendation 💙❤

I started writing when I was 9, after my phonetics teacher described poetry as simply writing about everyday things. I was a closeted writer for at least 10 years, before I was finally able to tell people that I could write, even now sometimes, I still hide my ability to write.
