Close up of the pierce and lead in on the @xToolOfficial metalfab laser cutter. This is 1.6mm 1095 blue tempered steel. Shown below the cut are the tips of calipers set to 0.10mm, so the kerf is thinner than that.
1095 blue tempered and the low carbon steel laser cut. Software is a little clunky when dealing with offsets, but not bad. This was cut with compressed air as the assist gas. That xtool air compressor is crazy fast, and requires 240 volts, so had to add 2 240v sockets.

Good thing "shall not be infringed" is in the constitution, or the government could make laws that tell gun manufacturers how they can or can not design guns. Like barrel lengths, firing mechanisms, max caliber sizes, how many grips can be on a gun, etc.

This thing is pretty cool. CNC controlled, or remove the head if you want to weld or clean metals, or even cut by hand. I will mostly leave it in the cnc table though. But will try out some welding too. Still need to hookup electric and exhaust, and then compressed air.
I still like to use a 4 color pen. With different colors for different parts. Sketching different views helps me visualize the parts in 3d. Then I go to CAD.
