Air Quality Alert just issued for the entire state of MN thru the weekend. Ground level Canadian wildfire smoke will sweep across the state tonight, & then wax & wane over the weekend. The worst air will be across northern MN, but all of us will deal with unhealthy air at times.

Great thread here on the low-level earthquake swarm happening under the summit of Mt. Rainier today. My daughter is an NPS interpretive ranger there and has a degree in geology. She says small activity is common and not a threat. Can't wait to learn more.
An earthquake swarm began at Mt. Rainier, WA, at 1:29 am PDT on July 8. Map shows current swarm (orange) with all earthquakes located since 2020 (blue). According to @PNSN, hundreds of events have occurred thus far (max M1.7). This is the largest swarm at Mt. Rainier since 2009.
