After Norway yesterday (see previous tweet), Finland broke its national record for the most consecutive days > 30°C with 14 days in Parikkala-Koitsanlahti. This is the longest heatwave ever recorded in Scandinavia/Fennoscandia. @kairokiitsak @severeweatherEU @ExtremeMeteo

Millions of Californians in the Bay Area and NorCal have likely just lived through their coldest early summer on record. The region (shaded in dark blue) has seen record-low temperatures in the last 30 days. San Francisco has had just a single 70 degree day since June 1.
