I didn't play or buy Zelda: TotK for the sole reason that the lore made absolutely no sense at all. It is the worst Zelda game in this respect. BotW does this to a lesser extent, but is not so egregious, and in my opinion, this is why Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, and Skyward…
Great conversation about @ThePraxiologist's upcoming novel. Thanks to @DavidJohnButler and @TheStarwald for co-hosting! Sorry, technical difficulties struck once again and we had to cut it short. x.com/i/spaces/1OdKr…
Hey guys! I am excited to reveal the cover art and release date for my upcoming book, published by Immortal Works: The Land of the Ill-Imagined The Land of the Ill-Imagined will be available on October 14th of 2025. It is currently available for pre-order on Amazon in ebook…

I am frothing at the mouth with how blindingly stupid this take is. It assumes the premise, "I can tell a good story, or I can maintain continuity, but I can't do both." The reality is, timeless masterpieces adhere to their own continuity WHILE telling a good story.
The best DC stuff - the truly iconic stuff, from “Watchmen” to “Dark Knight Returns” to “All-Star Superman” - handily clears the best Marvel stuff because it realises that continuity is far less important than actually telling a good, proper story.
I once entered a TF2 tournament as a 9 year old because I was excellent at Counterstrike and, spoiler, we lost because TF2 is wildly different.

Even when the movies stray from the books, they are still fantastic. This scene, arguably among the worst, if not the single worst adaptation change, is still far and away greater than most movie scenes of the past 20 years. Sometimes, you just have to be satisfied.
Words can not describe how much I disliked seeing this. Middle-earth Draino. The only thing (arguably) that was worse was the elves at Helm's Deep.
There Will be Thousands is now out in physical print! Be sure to pick up your own copy, it is well worth your time!
Due to user error with Amazon's scheduling system (me being the user), the release date for the print version of There Will be Thousands will be tomorrow, July 19th, instead of today. My apologies for the delay. Unfortunately, the release date cannot be edited so close to…

This is such a stupid take. Archaeologists within the past year supposedly discovered that Midas may have been a real King who lived at some point. Does that mean he actually had a hand that turned things to Gold? Probably not, but it means there was some truth to the story.…
I wonder what Plato would think of how much time & effort has been invested in uncovering a kingdom he made up as a literary device.
Met someone today (she was very pleasant) who, when I pitched There Will be Thousands, told me she only reads celebrity biographies. Up to this point I have been convinced celebrity biographies were fronts for money laundering--but people actually buy and read them?!
Just got a "USGS Volcano Notice" on my phone and thought Yellowstone was going to erupt (there are no other volcanoes in my area). Nope, just an update from Hawaii. Whose idea was it to send out that notice?
I normally don't comment on magic systems, but if you guys are interested, my books Everfont, When the King was Born, and There Will be Thousands have pretty interesting magic in it. The conceit behind it was that each magic has clearly defined capabilities, but they have an…
I don’t want magic to be understandable. I want it to be magic.
If you want to really get technical, we still navigate using celestial objects.
the "bronze age goat herders" view of ancient religious texts - that they were stupid people compared to modern enlightenment - is very funny considering that bronze age peoples navigated by the stars, established agricultural systems, discovered writing and how to make bricks
I'm excited to announce that There Will be Thousands will be available to buy in print this Friday, the 19th! It has previously only been available as an electronic copy, so if you have been waiting, this week is the week! For those who enjoy audiobooks, There Will be Thousands…
If there is one area I would die for more policing in, it is removing slow drivers from the left lane. Some people believe that they can get into the left lane, throw on cruise control, and then never pay attention for the rest of their long drive. Or, they block the cars behind…
