I believe Kelly Koh’s Silver Surfer is another Nadia Van Dyne situation. The MCU is introducing a female Silver Surfer with Shallah Bal, so comic editorial wanted to do the same thing, albeit with their own original character. Similar to the way Nadia was created due to Hope.
Marvel has had a habit for years now of introducing legacy characters, mostly female ones of color, in mini series then never/rarely using them outside of that. I’m not excited to see this character potentially end up like that.
