「あの人の名前なんだっけ… 」とは良くなりますが、「あの人は男だったけ? 女だったっけ?」とはあまりならないのではないのでしょうか。 そのような記憶のなかの性別情報はどのように作られているのか、その脳のしくみを調べました。 本研究は、東京大学よりScience誌にて報告しました。

For years, we have been interested in what exactly ventral CA1 encodes and what kinds of behaviors it can influence. This new preprint from @jeremy_biane and crew examined what kinds of information are (and are not) represented in the activity patterns of ventral CA1 neurons.
New preprint is up examining what information is encoded by the ventral hippocampus (vhpc) Gotta love those studies where your initial hypothesis is thoroughly destroyed by the data. This one reframed how I think about the vhpc. 🧵 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
