Great-grandfather Subadar-Major Bawa Singh in the centre. The son of Saran Singh from Panjaur, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Enlisted in 1901, retired in 1927. War services:- Waziristan 1901-02, Tibet, NWF 1908, WW1 - Aden, Egypt, Palestine, Black Sea Army & Waziristan 1921-24. MiD twice.
