Texas National Guard Service Members continue their work with emergency response partners by conducting aerial insertions of search & rescue, boat, and K9 teams.
Finn and her handler, CFFD’s own Captain Denise Corliss, are on the ground in the Hill Country supporting search operations after the devastating floods. Their work is quiet, focused, and incredibly important. We’re proud to see one of our own answering the call.

Provided an update today on Texas’ ongoing response to severe flooding. The next 2 days could pose public safety threats due to heavy rain. It’s crucial that Texans remain vigilant. We continue our 24/7 search & rescue operation until every missing person is found.
Update: The Texas Military Department's rescue operations have resulted in the successful recovery of 520 individuals. These efforts included 361 air evacuations conducted with UH-60 Black Hawks and 159 ground rescues employing various vehicles and assets.
