I'm often asked why deep red states often have pretty bad (restrictive) gun laws. Texas used to be a good example (until @NatlGunRights , @TXGunRights and our allies put the heat on em), and even Wyoming. GOP lawmakers resisted reforms like ConCarry. Answer in first comment.

With temperatures on the rise this week, it's worth noting DFW has not yet hit 100° this year. This is the latest in the year without 100° at DFW since 2021 when the first 100° occurred on July 25, 2021. There have only been two years that DFW never hit 100° - 1973 & 1906! #txwx
