Reading back on the long history of floods on the Guadalupe: Camps were heavily damaged over July 4, 1932, but no campers were lost. Officials were grateful that it came by day and not in the middle of the night.

At the front mic is my father-in-law Bob Davis, who sadly passed in December. To his right is Walter Fisher, who taught me a lot in the Senate. Speaker Clayton, presiding, later served as a regent at A&M and graciously had lunch with me to offer advice. This pic made my day!
