Professor of evolutionary biology. I would like there to be less death, pestilence, war, and famine. Assume sarcasm. No one could have foreseen this. He/him.
I'm pinning this thread because it keeps getting longer and the rationalizations from partisans to assuage their cognitive dissonance keep getting more desperate.
In case you're wondering, yes there are still "wait and see" Carney apologists in comments. Nothing is going to wake them up until after it's too late.
📍 Gaza | The scale of human suffering and the stripping of human dignity have long exceeded every acceptable standard, both legal and moral. This tragedy must end now. Mirjana Spoljaric, ICRC President 👉🏽 ms.spr.ly/6014sGyPq
Cool. I'm sure he'll honour the deal. And only 15% tariffs is a huge win for the EU. 🙄 Keep on appeasing the tyrant. youtu.be/58AJh8AFB64?si…
Complicity remorse.
Witnessing the catastrophic hunger and suffering of civilians, especially children, women, the sick and elderly, in Gaza has been heartbreaking. The crisis in Gaza must be met with an immediate and drastic surge in life-saving resources, such as desperately needed food, water,…

Trump: And the other thing I say to Europe: we will not allow a windmill to be built in the United States. They're killing us. They're killing the beauty of our scenery. Our beautiful plains. I’m not talking about airplanes… they won’t let you bury the propellers.
There are few issues on which the American ruling class and the American people are further apart - "detached" in Gramsci's words - than Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza
The Israeli military had a message to the Handala freedom flotilla. @huwaidaarraf had a message back to them, explaining international law and their rightful and just mission to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza with a civilian vessel ‘Handala’.
Read this as many times as you need to, especially if you're still rationalizing the forced starvation of children. nytimes.com/2025/07/26/wor…
How @nytimes describes Israel shooting and killing hundreds of starved Palestinian civilians waiting for food. “Crude form of crowd control”

🚨BREAKING: Five more Palestinians including three children have died of hunger in the last 24 hours in Gaza, raising the starvation death toll to 127, with 85 of them children. This is the result of Israel’s systematic use of starvation as a weapon of war.
Retired US special forces officer says in his entire career he has never witnessed such a level of "brutality and use of indiscriminate and unnecessary force against a civilian population, an unarmed, starving population". bbc.com/news/videos/cy…
Btw, you will see long strings of the exact same kind of racist comments from Canadians when Indigenous folks post things about Canada.
The comments on this post are a masterclass in American miseducation, prejudice, ignorance, racism, patently false misinformation, and overall cruelty. Miigwech, thanks for proving my point. Free Palestine. Land Back. Teach Truth.
the Biden Administration knew in December a famine was underway in Gaza. they tried to alter a report on it, then ordered it deleted from the web when the authors wouldn't change it. they knew Gazans would start dying of starvation in January but thought it made them look bad.
It is simply remarkable how much the recent pivots to condemning Israel are premised on fabricating a recent watershed, on summoning a new history of events. Hind Rajab was killed a year and a half ago. The ICJ case was filed in 2023.
Liberals waited until Gaza hit stage 5 famine before saying anything. They yelled at pro Palestinian protesters for MONTHS while enabling this and now they are just trying to save their own reputation by making statements now They are diabolically evil
