I love how all of the cd boxset's have mini versions of the original albums in great detail. Sadly the latest box has ditched the rationale so Blackstar has the standard cd cover. I've tried to flag it up but as is usual with blaggo any constructive critique falls upon deaf ears.

I’ve just finished reading this remarkable book called ‘Buzz Me In’ about the history and goings-on in the Record Plant Studios in the USA. From ‘mob control’, to S&M, serious drug taking, insights into the crazy amount of recording takes and excess. A must for musicians!

Same here. Love Mott but Ian's solo work is more personal. This album has the wonderful track Michael Picasso. One of the most poignant songs about loss ever written. I saw Hunter/Ronson in 1975 at Birmingham Town Hall. One if the best gigs I've ever seen.
