Residents have been able to return home after the precautionary 100m cordon was lifted just after 3am this morning (Weds). All roads are now open. A police presence remains in the area around South Liberty Lane. Enquiries that led to a man being arrest yesterday evening continue.

"A serious incident is unfolding in Bristol this evening, Tuesday, July 22, and a large number of people have had to leave their homes. The bomb squad, fire service, @ASPolice and paramedics are currently at the scene in South Liberty Lane, Ashton Vale." Hope everyone is safe.
