Beautifully decorated house on Desmond Ave. When someone takes the time and energy to make their house look beautiful for passers by, its a like a little gift to their local community. ❤️
Mills St in Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns have brought this small pocket park back to life & it looks wonderful. Look for it next time you walk down Cross Ave, another hidden gem in our beautiful town. ❤️
Holy cow, a car-free Parliament Street! Congrats to all our councillors, @CByrneGreen @Feljin_J @JanetPHorner @donna_cooney1, @DubCityCouncil staff and all who made this happen.
Useful summary & reminder to have your say on DLR Connector consultation. Positive voices are critical to preventing watering down of plan. (When completing consult, several questions have multiple options & selecting "preferred option" will deliver most significant benefits.)
📢🌳🚶🚲 Have your say on DLR Connector! DLR Connector would see 6km of new segregated cycle lanes and walking facilities and an upgraded public realm. I really like it, but the Council want to hear what you think about it: evadowling.ie/dlrconnector Consultation closes July 15
Ireland's Greenest Places Comp still open! Dun Laoghaire already nominated/recognised for "tilting private car usage towards public transport & active travel – walking and cycling. This has been facilitated by residents backing a “living streets” project" irishtimes.com/environment/20…
Time to move beyond the culture-war coverage. Better infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists benefits a very wide demographic. (Everything in this article applies to Ireland too.) theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/j…
So simple... ♥️
More excellent green infrastructure practice from rural Brittany. Swales are for life, not just for cities.
Great to see greening projects like this, and looking forward to the pedestrianisation of Parliament Street this weekend. More of this would transform Dublin. #LivingStreets
The greening of Clarendon Street by @DubCityCouncil has been an outstanding success. The fluffy crowns of 13 new trees – Acacia or Robinia, experts do advise! – coupled with Leinster granite paving has transformed a utilitarian route into one of Dublin’s most attractive streets.
