A frustrating final leaderboard at the Barracuda to wake up to as both Laird & Putnam miss out on a full place by one birdie. Particularly frustrating with Laird as could only birdie the 2 par 5s on the back 9 & missed out on some of the other easier par 4s.

That’s a wrap for our 2024 Major season & 2 players have saved it. English bags us 2 full places @ PGA @ 150s & the Open @ 100s & Rose memorably bagged FRL @ Augusta at 80s. All adds up to a healthy profit, which considering we never sniffed an outright winner I’ll happily take.

Just no words for how good Scottie is. You can’t do anything other than sit back and watch in awe.

Haotong playing for a Masters spot here. Assuming he birdies 17 that puts him T4 heading to 18. Top 4 & ties get in to Masters if not already exempt.

Harris English looks set to finish runner up in 2 of this yrs Majors & he hasn’t had the remotest of chances on Sunday to win either of them!

Faldo seems to really have taken umbrage to what Scottie said earlier in week. I personally thought what Scottie said was wonderful. To be the best in world at what u do but to then have the perspective that it is just a sport & there are way more important things is incredible.

No realistic chance of an outright winner across the two events today. Still plenty to play for though. English & Henley with good place chances in Open & Laird in with a place chance in Barracuda. Fingers crossed a good day ahead. 🤞

A shame Harris couldn’t hole the one on 18 but with him & Henley we have two good place chances heading in to Sunday. Hopefully Harris can hold on to the top 8 outright, which will make it a profitable event. If both can land the place that would be great! 🤞🤞

If Harris had putted at Quail Hollow as he has this week he would have win by six.

Great round from Henley, best of the day so far. We now live in the forlorn hope that Scottie & the others ahead of him stall for the rest of the day to give him half a chance tomorrow. At least he’s in the hunt for a place.

If this is supposed to be a comparison to Niemann there’s 1 somewhat obvious difference. Min Woo’s not by any metric as good a player as Niemann & I haven’t seen anyone suggest he’s a top 10 player in the world. We might as well look at Detry’s Major record for comparison.
